人民行动党的两位新议员符策翔（Foo Cexiang）和罗绍华（Shawn Loh）首次以政务部长身份进入政府。刘燕玲（Jasmin Lau）被任命为人力部代部长，吴沛明（Goh Pei Ming）获擢升为高级政务部长。萧振祥（Jeffrey Siow）和梁振伟（David Neo）在担任代部长一年多后，正式分别出任交通部长以及文化、社区及青年部长。
