Làng Dongbaoyi là một trong những ngôi làng địa phương có đông người làm nghề thêu thùa xuất khẩu. Với sự cần cù, cẩn thận và đôi bàn tay khéo léo, những người phụ nữ đã nhanh chóng nắm vững các kỹ thuật thêu mà doanh nghiệp yêu cầu và có thể hoàn thiện thành thạo các mẫu hoa văn khác nhau. Nghề thêu tuy đòi hỏi sự kiên nhẫn và tỉ mỉ nhưng lại rất phù hợp với phụ nữ miền núi. Có thể hoàn thiện tại nhà, tận dụng tối đa thời gian rảnh rỗi, tăng thêm thu nhập ổn định cho gia đình và giảm bớt áp lực cuộc sống.

Hiện nay mọi người đã học thêu thùa theo mẫu, mỗi tháng có thể kiếm được khoảng 2 triệu đến 3 triệu đồng, tùy theo thời gian đầu tư của mỗi người. Điều kiện sống của các chị em cũng được cải thiện hơn".

Trước đây, phụ nữ ở thị trấn Kunha chủ yếu dựa vào nghề nông và không có nguồn thu nhập nào khác. Từ khi nhận đơn hàng thêu thùa của doanh nghiệp, nhiều phụ nữ đã có được việc làm linh hoạt. Công ty cũng thường xuyên tổ chức các khóa đào tạo nhằm giúp mọi người không ngừng nâng cao tay nghề.

Sau khi có công ty về làng, mọi người cùng tham gia đào tạo và cùng nhau làm việc. Giờ đây, mỗi người có thể tăng thu nhập thêm từ 2 triệu đến 3 triệu đồng/tháng, điều này không chỉ giúp tăng thu nhập cho bản thân chị em mà còn cải thiện đời sống gia đình”.

Hiện nay, ở thị trấn Kunha có khoảng 450 công nhân làm nghề thêu thùa, hầu hết là phụ nữ. Nghề thêu không chỉ mở rộng kênh thu nhập cho phụ nữ địa phương mà còn tạo cơ hội việc làm cho lao động nông thôn, không ngừng nâng cao đời sống của nhiều gia đình.

Ông Phạm Văn Hiếu, Giám đốc Phòng Kinh tế thị trấn Kon Hà, tỉnh Lai Châu: “Chúng tôi tranh thủ thời gian rảnh rỗi để tổ chức tuyên truyền, đào tạo kỹ năng nhằm không ngừng nâng cao tay nghề thêu thùa của phụ nữ. Hiện nay, người dân trong làng nhận thấy nghề này có thể tăng thu nhập khoảng 3 triệu đồng/tháng nên họ tích cực tham gia.
