Trong chuyến thăm, phái đoàn đã hội đàm với Đại học Phương Đông Naples. Trường là một trong những cơ sở giáo dục và nghiên cứu phương Đông lâu đời nhất ở châu Âu (thành lập năm 1732). Nó có lợi thế vượt trội trong các lĩnh vực ngôn ngữ, văn hóa, lịch sử và nghiên cứu khu vực, đặc biệt chú trọng nghiên cứu về Châu Á, Châu Phi và khu vực Địa Trung Hải.

Trong buổi làm việc, Đại sứ Nguyễn Phương Anh đã có buổi trao đổi sâu với lãnh đạo Đại học Phương Đông Naples về phương hướng hợp tác trong thời gian tới, tập trung tăng cường giảng dạy tiếng Việt tại Ý, xây dựng các dự án giảng dạy tiếng Ý tại Việt Nam, đẩy mạnh nghiên cứu, trao đổi trong lĩnh vực quan hệ quốc tế, mở rộng quan hệ giữa giáo viên, sinh viên và các cơ sở giáo dục của hai nước.

Hai bên cũng nhất trí nghiên cứu thành lập “Góc Việt Nam” tại Đại học Phương Đông Naples nhằm tạo không gian giới thiệu về đất nước, con người, lịch sử, văn hóa Việt Nam, đồng thời phục vụ các hoạt động dạy, học, nghiên cứu về Việt Nam và giúp hình ảnh Việt Nam đến gần hơn với sinh viên và giới học thuật Ý.

Hai bên nhấn mạnh hợp tác về giáo dục, ngôn ngữ và văn hóa là cầu nối lâu dài giữa nhân dân hai nước, giúp tăng cường sự hiểu biết lẫn nhau giữa người dân Việt Nam và Ý, đồng thời làm sâu sắc hơn nữa quan hệ Đối tác chiến lược Việt Nam-Ý.

Nhân dịp này, Đại sứ quán Việt Nam tại Ý tặng sách cho Khoa Tiếng Việt, Đại học Phương Đông Naples, trong đó có cuốn “Đại Việt toàn thư”, “Du ký Việt Nam”, “Lịch sử tổng quát Việt Nam” và các tác phẩm quan trọng khác do Nhà xuất bản Giáo dục Việt Nam xuất bản. Những tài liệu này sẽ trở thành tài liệu học tập quý giá để học sinh nâng cao năng lực tiếng Việt và hiểu biết sâu sắc về lịch sử, văn hóa và đời sống xã hội Việt Nam. (qua)
